Contexte

Enrichment of hair and facial hair representation on a 3D head scan.
Mission
Uraniom develops Shadow, a mobile app where you can create and share gifs and videos with a 3D avatar, from your own 3D scan. Unlike skin, which can be represented as a smooth surface, hair feature numerous details that can be lost in the scan process. An automatic labelling helps us discriminate between the different areas of the head (beard, skin, hair, etc. ).
Goal
From a head scan and its segmentation, the goal is to enrich the data available for rendering hair and facial hair by processing both texture and geometry.
The main goal of the internship is to explore existing methods and to implement an algorithm to automatically add details to the 3D mesh and the texture of the scan, to improve the rendering quality.
