The Computer Science department at Ecole Polytechnique is looking to hire a parttime Assistant Professor in Computer Graphics, starting September 1st 2019.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D., have a strong record in research and teaching, and must be able to contribute to Computer Science education at all levels of teaching (Bachelor’s, Engineering degree, Master of Science and Technology). In the application, candidates should include a description of how they plan to integrate into the teaching teams of existing Computer Science courses, especially those with focus on Computer Graphics. The ability to contribute to project-based teaching and to strengthen the links between teaching, research and applications will be an important criterion during the selection process.

The assistant professor position is analogous to “Maître de Conférences” positions in French Universities, and are typically aimed at researchers towards the beginning of their career. Part-time assistant professors at Ecole Polytechnique must have a permanent job either in academia or in industry.
